Medvedev: Chances are good to settle Transdnestr conflict
Problems in Russian-Moldovan economic relations have been mostly solved. President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev made the statement while receiving on Aug 25 President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin. Russian president pointed to the impressive growth in trade turnover between the two states and to a great potential of further cooperation.
Vladimir Voronin stated that Russian-Moldovan relation are developing at a dynamic rate, with trade turnover having exceeded $1 billion. We've got results and a foundation for furher developing the relations, Moldova's president affirmed.
Russian president also said that he regards chances to settle Transdnestr conflict as good. It would be reasonable to discuss the Transdnestr issue as early as today, and I see good chances to settle it, Medvedev stated.
