US ''doves'' bring to Georgia Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles
NATO continues enforcing its forces in the Black Sea water zone. As for Aug 26 2008, the alliance's naval force includes 10 ships with eight more expected to arrive soon, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Anatoly Nogovitsyn informed on Aug 26. According to the Russian General Staff information, the NATO naval contingent in the Black Sea is today comprised of three ships of US Navy, one of Spain, one of Germany, one of Poland, and four ships of Turkey.
Besides, a US navy destroyer USS McFaul is heading to a Georgian port of Poti. Her cargo is reportedly a humanitarian aid. However, what exactly is the cargo, is unknown. According to a source in the Defense Ministry, there are, in particular, about 50 Tomahawk cruise missiles designed for surface attacks on board of the vessel.
Russia's General Staff said it was ''perplexed'' with the extreme activity of the NATO naval forces in the North-East Black Sea sector. It is remarkable that humanitarian aid is brought from the USA by exclusively Naval ships and airplanes, as decided by US president George W. Bush.
