Russia fulfilled Medvedev-Sarkozy plan: Russian MFA
On Aug 29, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement in which it is acknowledged that the Russian side has entirely fulfilled the six provisions of the plan of settling conflicts in Georgia developed by presidents of Russia and France. According to the Ministry's press office, ''Russia has thoroughly fulfilled the six-article plan of Medvedev-Sarkozy.'' Besides, ''the Russian troops have been withdrawn, and a contingent of Russian peacekeepers, as provided by the plan, remains in the adjacent to South Ossetia security zone.''
