Cheney arrives to Kiev to discuss energy: Yushchenko's press secretary
On Sep 4, 2008, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko is to admit US Vice President Dick Cheney, REGNUM correspondent in Kiev reports referring to Yushchenko's Press Secretary Irina Vannikova.
According to Vannikova, ''a number of important aspects of the Ukrainian-US relations are to be discussed at a working supper.'' ''These are, particularly, issues of the current state and development of trade and economic and investment cooperation between the two states, including issues of US technical aid to Ukraine. The head of state will discuss with the US Vice President prospects of developing Ukrainian-US cooperation in the energy field, particularly, creating a bilateral group for energy security and prospects of trilateral cooperation of Ukraine, EU, and USA in the energy field,'' Irina Vannikova detailed.
