Georgia denounces peacekeeping agreement in conflict zone with Abkhazia
Georgia'a Ambassador to Belarus David Zalkaliani forwarded to CIS Executive Committee a Georgian government's note of his country's withdrawal from the 2003 agreement on the dislocation of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces (JPF) in the zone of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone. The Ambassador informed journalists of this Sep 2, 2008.
Earlier, staff of Georgia's State Minister for Reintegration Temuri Yakobashvili announced Georgia's denouncement of the Moscow agreement on ceasefire and separation of forces of May 14, 1994.
