Medvedev: Saakashvili a ''political corpse''
President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev called the ruling regime of Georgia bankrupt and the country's president a ''political corpse.'' Medvedev said Russian authorities do not regard Saakashvili as President of Georgia.
''President Saakashvili does not exist for us. He is a political corpse,'' this came as a response to Italian RAI TV channel's question of whether Russia is ready to participate in a mediatory conference that is to be held in Rome, which Saakashvili is going to take part in. At the same time, Russian President emphasized, Russia is open to the discussion of matters of post-conflict stabilization in the region in all formats, including ''international platforms.''
