Russia's flag removed from Tbilisi embassy
Russian flag was removed from the embassy of the Russian Federation to Tbilisi. Besides, all insignia that used to indicate that Russia's embassy to Georgia was located in the building, has also been removed.
Sep 2, Georgia officially notified the embassy of Russia about Tbilisi's severing diplomatic relations between the two countries. So far, it is not clear if a Consulate will be operating, Russia's Ambassador to Georgia Vyacheslav Kovalenko told journalists Sep 3. At the moment, the Consulate has been closed until a special Moscow's instruction. ''All these issues, including the one of diplomats' leaving Georgia, are being decided on in Moscow,'' Kovalenko said.
