KazEnergy 3rd Eurasian Energy Forum convenes in Astana
Sep 4, 3rd Eurasian Energy Forum KazEnergy has convened in Astana, its subject ''Global Challenges and Energy Solutions,'' Kazakhstan Today reports.
The work of the forum, attended by KazEnergy Association Chairman Timur Kulibayev, Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mehmet Hilmi Guler, and Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev, is divided in two plenary sessions. The first is to be held Sep 4 and devoted to global energy challenges and Kazakhstan's strategy of development in the oil-and-gas and energy spheres. Sep 5, the attendants are to discuss a number of topics, including the 19th World Petroleum Congress held in Madrid in July 2008.
Last time, Astana hosted the Forum in September 2007. It was attended by over 250 delegates, officials of state agencies, heads of oil, gas, and energy companies, and leading experts and analysts from different world countries.
