Tactical nuclear weapons can be allocated in Georgia and Ukraine
In case Ukraine and Georgia join NATO, tactical nuclear weapons can be allocated in those countries, declared Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of Russia's Security Council. He stressed in an interview to Izvestia newspaper that Georgia and, especially, Ukraine in case of their membership to the alliance can become a comfortable beachhead for development of large attack land-based, aviation and naval forces, equipped by high-accuracy and tactical nuclear weapon.
The potential location in the territory of Ukraine of such armed forces will give them strategic character, because there will be important military and economic objectives of the European part of Russia in their effecting circle, including elements of state and military operation controls, underlined he.
