President of Azerbaijan met the Supreme Leader of Iran in Teheran

In the evening on March, 10 the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei met the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev in Teheran, a REGNUM correspondent was informed at the press service of the president of Iran. Ayatollah Khamenei stressed the strong good-neighborly and brotherhood ties between Iran and Azerbaijan in different areas, including cooperation in political and economic fields.  

Referring to his meetings with ex-president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, the Supreme Leader of Iran underlined the existence of good prospects for further development of relations between both countries. In his turn the president of Azerbaijan described his meeting with Iranian officials as highly fruitful, relying on the prospects of developing ties between the two countries in different fields. Aliyev also added that the two countries should further strengthen their cordial.
