Azerbaijan and Turkey to reanimate the idea of Transcaspian pipeline
By more specific information of Azerbaijan foreign ministry, on January 23-25 Turkish resident Ahmed Necdet Sezer will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan. During the visit several questions will be discussed, including bilateral cooperation, Karabakh settlement, the Northern Cyprus problem, realization of energy and transport projects. Main object of discussion will be the projects of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the gas Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad line.
Sezer also plans to speak with President Aliyev about speeding up of gas fields Shakh-Deniz exploitation and reanimation of the idea of the Transcaspian pipeline to provide Turkey and Europe with Turkmen gas.
