USA called Russia to investigate gas pipeline explosions
The US has called Russia to investigate thoroughly explosions at the gas pipelines importing gas from Russia to the countries of South Caucasus, US State Department Spokesman Sean McCormack said.
He noted he obtained no information on what caused the explosions adding that the Russian party regarded them as act of terror. It is important that in the critical moment other countries came to help their neighbors – Georgia and Armenia, stressed McCormack.
As it was reported earlier, the explosions at the North Caucasus-Transcaucasus and Mozdok-Tbilisi gas pipeline were equivalent to 700-800 g of TNT. The Russian Prosecution has already started a criminal case.
