Gas supplies to Georgia resumed
Russia has resumed gas supplies to Georgia on the Mozdok-Tbilisi main gas pipeline, reports Lenta.ru citing a spokesperson for the Sevtransgaz Company that participated in repair work. Head of the Kavkaztransgaz Mozdok Gas Pipelines Department Viktor Krainov noted that the gas pipeline was set in operation on January 29 at 10:17 a.m. Moscow time.
As REGNUM earlier reported, on January 22 two explosions occurred on North Caucasus-Transcaucasus and Mozdok-Tbilisi gas pipelines in North Ossetia. Gas supplies of the Russian gas to Georgia and Armenia was cut off.
