Main goal of Turkish and Georgian cooperation – supplies of Turkmen gas through Caspian corridor
By the end of the year, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan are trying to commission the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Zurab Nogaideli.
The main goal of the cooperation of our two countries is to provide supplies of the Turkmen gas through the Caspian Corridor. Besides, the first part of oil has already reached Georgia through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, and will soon reach Ceyhan, noted Erdogan. As Radio Liberty reports, during a Turkish-Georgian business forum in Istanbul, the question of Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railroad construction will be discussed. The railroad will be a part of Asian-European transport corridor, said the Turkish prime minister.
