Three quarters of Russians are going to follow Olympic news
On February 10, at 10:00 p.m. Moscow time, 20th Olympic Games opening ceremony has taken place in Torino.
More than 25,000 athletes from 85 countries, competing for 84 medal sets in 15 sport arts, are among members of the Olympics, which will take place on February 10-16. Three quarters of Russians are going to follow Olympic news from Torino. Public opinion poll, conducted early in February by Public Opinion Fund in 100 countries’ settlements, contains the dates. Russians level of interest in the biggest winter sport forum raised for 6%, comparing with games 2002. Figure skating, ice hockey, skiing, biathlon will be leaders of viewers’ interest during the forthcoming games in Russia. Curling, skeleton, short-trek are among outsiders, generating interest of 1% of Russians. The overwhelming majority of respondents are assured of National team success at 20th Olympic Games, and nearly half of them believe, Russia will both successfully compete in Turin and win most of medals in team competition, informs RSN.
