Russian figure skaters will not be allowed to win all medals?
Russian figure skaters Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov became Olympic champions in ice dancing in Turin. Americans Tanith Belbin/Benjamin Agosto are on the second place. Ukrainians Elena Grushina and Ruslan Goncharov won bronze.
Overall, skaters can compete for 4 sets of medals in this sport art. Now, fans wait for Irina Slutskaya, who starts its performance with short program on February 21.
Meanwhile, couch of Olympic champions Navka-Kostomarov Alexander Zhulin is sure, a French-American referees’ block acted against Russian figure skaters, reports Gazeta. The couch evaluated yesterday’s competition as the most difficult one he ever saw. Ice dancing, or, to put it more precisely, developments behind the curtains: refereeing, places’ distribution, do not fall into a pattern of fair play. Dances have become even more dirty, believes Zhulin.
