Governor of Krasnoyarsk region: Instigators of doping scandal were going to pull out whole Russian team of relay-race
On March 1, Governor Alexander Khloponin returned with Olympics and from Italy to Krasnoyarsk. According to him, he met with sport officials because of doping scandal with Krasnoyarsk biathlete Olga Pyleva in Turin. We talked about permission for Olga Pyleva to compete next season, informed the governor.
Alexander Khloponin stated:" First of all, the Olympic Games are big politics. I succeeded in receiving information about further scandal instigators’ plans to pull the whole Russian team out of relay-race."
The governor is quoted by a REGNUM-KNews correspondent as saying, that nothing can defile good name of Olga Pyleva. She is a great sportswoman. In the evening, I will meet with her and Pavel Rostovtsev, to discuss perspectives to build a biathlon-track of Olympic reserve in Krasnoyarsk.
