Quarantine is imposed: bird flu traced in Astrakhan Region (Russia)
On March 3, bird flu was for the first time traced in Astrakhan Region. According to Governor Alexander Zhilkin, several gooses died in private farm. Village, where the dead poultry was found, is placed in quarantine: policemen and veterinary surgeons are posted at village’s entries and exits, all private farms are disinfected. The whole poultry will be slaughtered in the village, informs Newsinfo.ru
