H5N1 extended for three continents
Dangerous for man H5N1 bird flu virus has already extended for 37 countries on three continents and threatens world with new pandemic, is said in report of US Health and Human Services, published in Washington. According to US Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt, overall 176 persons are infected with the virus, 96 of them died. At the same time, Leavitt stresses, that H5N1 virus changes and already exists in two variants. The second newer one extends trough Western Asia to Europe, Middle East and Africa, and its appearance in America is only question of time.
