Special Forces failed to arrest a cake (Crimea)

Read it in Russian

On March 21, Crimean youth Breakthrough organization has planned a performance in the city of Simferopol. A big cake in the form of Ukraine, colored as the Ukrainian flag (in yellow and light blue), will be divided into western and south-eastern “federations” and given to all comers. The “Crimean” part of the cake is supposed to be given specially to Acting Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko, who has a birthday today. This is a present for “repression attention towards Breakthrough”, after their last theatrical event when they symbolical separated Crimea from Ukraine at the isthmus.

As a REGNUM correspondent informs, when activists of Breakthrough went from Sevastopol to Simferopol by bus, it was stopped by police and Special Forces. They said that they would arrest only the cake, but the activists went out of the bus and carried the cake on their shoulders. When they entered Bakhchisaray region, they met local police with the same warning.

Currently, the fate of the cake is unknown. Other activists of Breakthrough and journalists are going to highway to “save” the cake. REGNUM will follow developments in its fate and keep our readers informed.
