Byelorussian interior ministry: People should comprehend: everything has happened already
People should understand that everything has already happened and there is no sense in sitting in the Oktyabrskaya Square and freezing themselves, a REGNUM correspondent was told by Deputy Head of the Byelorussian Interior Ministry Information Department Vitaly Grinkevich, commenting on the events in the square. According to him, the police do not resort to force towards the protesters. The law enforcement agencies are engaged only in guarding the social order. People detained in the Oktyabrskaya Square are incriminated with violation of holding meetings, marches and demonstrations.
Answering the question by the REGNUM correspondent whether the police was switched to the special regime of working, Grinkevich said that March 21 was the last day of the strengthened regime of the Minsk police (it was introduced before the presidential elections REGNUM).
It should be reminded that in the night of March 21, about 30 supporters of Alexander Kozulin and Alexander Milinkevich were detained in the Oktyabrskaya Square. According to the spokeswoman for Alexander Kozulin Nina Shidlovskaya, activists of the two politicians are in detention center.
