Petrova and Tikhonov won bronze at World Figure Skating Championship
Russian pair Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov won bronze medal at World Figure Skating Championship in sport pairs contest. After optional program, the Russian duet occupied second place with 123.18 points. As after short program Petrova and Tikhonov were at the third place with 63.04 points, their total result was 186.22 points, that was a bronze-winning result. Gold and silver medals went to Chinese pairs Chin Pan/Jang Ton (189.20) and Dan Jan/Hao Jan (186.42) As REGNUM already informed, Russian medalists from Turin Olympics do not participate in the championship.
