Scientists discovered, why H5N1 cannot be easily transferred from human to human
Scientists believe that they have discovered why bird flu H5N1strain still cannot be easily transferred from human to human.
Human flu viruses are attached to the cells in upper part of respiratory tract, that increases the chance of human-to-human infection by sneezing and coughing but bird flu strain attaches to the cells in lower part of the respiratory tract.
Since its appearance in 2003, H5N1 has spread along Africa, Europe, several parts of Asia and caused death of nearly 100 people, informs BBC.
Scientists are afraid that the virus will mutate, so it will spread from people to people, this will cause a pandemic that will claim million of lives.
