Expert: Tajikistan respects the opinion of Byelorussians
Tajikistan respects the opinion of Byelorussians, whatever it is. If Lukashenko received more than 80% votes, it is clear that Tajikistan will recognize him as legitimate president of Byelorussia, stated Head of Center for Strategic Research of Tajikistan President, Sajfullo Safarov to a REGNUM correspondent. He said that CIS observers group, where representatives of Tajikistan participated, recognized the outcome of the elections. If our observers positively evaluated the elections, we can have no doubts, that elections in Byelorussia were fair and democratic. If Byelorussian opposition has any claims, it must settle them through judicial authorities, concluded Safarov.
