21 foreigners arrested during protest actions in Byelorussia
Byelorussian law enforcement agencies arrested 21 foreign citizens for participation in unsanctioned protest actions, a REGNUM correspondent has been informed by Byelorussian Attorney-General Pyotr Miklashevich. He said that most of the persons arrested are Ukrainians – 7 persons, followed by Poland citizens – 6 citizens, Russia – 4, Georgia – 2, Lithuania and Canada by 1. Miklashevich noted that total number of the arrested from March 19 to 25 is more than 500 persons. They all, except for under-ages, received 10-15 days of arrest. Miklashevich also noted that Russian journalist Pavel Sheremet was released.
