Astana may attach itself to Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil-pipeline as early as in May
According to Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Andar Shukputov, next round of talks of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan working group on Kazakhstan’s attachment to BTC pipeline will take place on April 20 in Baku, informs Day.Az.
“If the parties agree, I do not exclude a possibility that the agreement on Kazakhstan’s attachment to BTC pipeline will be signed during summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation on May 5 in Baku,” stated Shukputov. At the same time, the diplomat did not exclude a possibility of signing of the document during ceremony of putting the BTC pipeline into operation in the Turkish Mediterranean port of Ceyhan.
