Opening date of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline is not announced yet
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project continues to make steady progress in laying the pipeline and pumping oil in it. $247 million of $641 million planned for 2006 have been invested since the beginning of the year, a REGNUM correspondent was informed at press office of BP Company.
440-kilometer Turkish section of the pipeline is being constructed successfully. On April 16, pumping station #3 was put into operation; filling the section with oil up to station #4 began. 175,000 barrels of oil are pumped into the pipeline every day. First tanker will be loaded with oil at Ceyhan terminal till the end of spring this year. Turkish section of the pipeline and Ceyhan terminal will officially open this summer, the BP informs, not announcing any exact date.
