Belarusian foreign ministry: US actions are short-sighted and have no prospects
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry considers actions by US President George Bush, who banned entry to the country to Belarusian high-ranking officials, including President Alexander Lukashenko, to be short-sighted and having no prospects. Spokesman for the Belarusian foreign ministry Andrei Popov is quoted as saying it, while commenting on resolution of the US White House head to ban entry to the US to Belarusian officials and citizens, who cooperate closely with the government. Earlier, the Belarusian foreign ministry promised to take reciprocal measures towards the EU and the USA.
