Belarus is going to appeal ban on entry for its several officials to European countries and USA
Belarus will go to international courts on human rights, complaining about EU and US decision to limit republican leaders’ freedom of movement.
The European Union and the USA introduced a ban on entry into their countries for 31 Byelorussian officials. Earlier, EU Council froze funds and foreign accounts of 36 Byelorussian officials, who are accused of violation of international election standards and attack on civil society and democratic opposition in context of the March presidential elections. Additionally to the Byelorussian president, the EU introduced economic sanctions against head of his administration, chiefs of KGB and Interior Ministry, as well as ministers of Information, Justice, and Education, head of Central Election Commission, MPs by putting them on black lists.
