BTC caused introduction of passport regulations for Azerbaijanis and Armenians
Representatives of Georgian power institutions introduced passport regulations in Akhalkalaki and Borjomi areas, where the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline is laid, explaining the step as a necessary one for guaranteeing BTC security. At present, travelers, who use the road without papers because of lack of information, are verbally warned. Black masked servicemen assure that passport regulations will be toughened soon in the region, where the oil pipeline is laid, and nobody will be able to visit the zone without papers, A-Info informs.
It is worth stressing that Akhalkalaki and Borjomi are settlements where ethnic Armenians and Azerbaijanis predominantly live.
