Russian Ambassador expressed his opinion concerning EU and Belarusian “black” lists

Read it in Russian

“I consider it to be a serious error of the European Union, which created the list,” Russian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Alexander Surikov said, commenting on creation of “black” lists of politicians, whose entrance to EU countries is forbidden, a REGNUM correspondent informs. “At that, the Bureau on Democracy and Human Rights defends, on the one hand, rights and democracy, and, on the other hand, it restrains them. In any case, all persons listed there, including your president, are citizens nevertheless.”

Surikov is sure that efforts of Belarus and Russia should be united to explain such moments to the Council of Europe; one should not resort to such foolish actions. “And, it was, perhaps, an mistake from the Belarusian side to give a symmetrical response to the EU. On the contrary, it is necessary to struggle for canceling of double standards,” he stressed.
