We will speak of Georgia at G8 summit Putin
I am sure that we will speak of the whole post-Soviet space during the summit, especially, of the problem spots, those ones where the situation is troubled, particularly, about Georgia, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said at a news conference in Strelnya, St. Petersburg in the framework of the G8 summit, REGNUM correspondent reported.
Everybody is concerned with the aggravated situation in South Ossetia, killings happening here and there, Putin pointed out. We would like our Georgian friends and partners to find ways of interacting with each other so that the likes of the incidents did not occur, he emphasized.
The G8 summit convened in St. Petersburg on July 15. In the coming days, leaders of Russia, USA, Japan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, and Canada, as well as the Chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and heads of invited states will hold a number of sessions and bilateral meetings.
