Iranian Foreign Ministry called on G8 to take sensible decisions
Official representative of Iranian Foreign Ministry Hamid Reza Asefi called on the G8 member countries to take sensible decisions regarding the Iranian nuclear program. Asefi made his statement on July 16, REGNUM correspondent was informed at the G8 summit organizing committee. G8 countries have two ways of treating the Iranian ‘nuclear dossier.’ First is the way of sensible recommendations to Iran and the second is the way of creating tensions and of irrationality, the diplomat said. If G8 chooses the first way, The Islamic Republic will be ready to all kinds of negotiations (on its nuclear program), he asserted.
The G8 summit convened in St. Petersburg on July 15. In the coming days, leaders of Russia, USA, Japan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, and Canada, as well as the Chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and heads of invited states will hold a number of sessions and bilateral meetings.
