All HIV-infected patients will have access to medications by 2010 Putin
By 2010, all HIV-infected people on the planet will have access to necessary drugs, President of Russia Vladimir Putin is convinced. Putin made his statement at the meeting of G8 heads of states with Youth G8 today, on July 16 at the G8 summit, REGNUM correspondent reported. Russian President said realizing programs of combating HIV/AIDS proposed by G8 is necessary for providing all the needy with medications.
The G8 summit convened in St. Petersburg on July 15. In the coming days, leaders of Russia, USA, Japan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, and Canada, as well as the Chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and heads of invited states will hold a number of sessions and bilateral meetings.
