Why do we so closely watch relations of Russia’s center and its regions? Because there are 2,000 potential conflicts in the country’s territory; we are aware of it! There was the same situation in the Soviet Union. Mr. Putin is quoted by a REGNUM correspondent as stating that establishing of relations with states in the post-Soviet space is important now for both Russia and various post-Soviet countries.
