Putin: Russia is satisfied with results of G8 summit
Russia is satisfied with the results of the G8 summit. Speaking at a news conference in Strelna, Russian President Vladimir Putin said: All the tasks we posed, are obtained. All the documents we planned to adopt are adopted practically without change.
Speaking on Russian gas price, the president announced that they are defined not by the Kremlin, but by the market. According to the Russian leader, quoted by a REGNUM correspondent, everything is done to minimize risks and stabilize prices in the gas market. Talking about a resolution adopted by G8 leaders on the situation in Middle East, Putin noted that if it were not for Russia’s position on the Middle East conflict, the declaration signed by G8 leaders could have posed accusations of terrorism to some countries.
It is worth mentioning. Apart from the statement eleven more documents were signed at the summit on July 16, particularly, G8 declaration on fighting terrorism, along with other documents: Global Energy Security, Education for Innovative Societies in the 21st Century, Struggle against Piracy and Pirated Goods, On Work with Africa etc.
