Russian President Vladimir Putin has personally congratulated German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her birthday. She is 52 today, on July 17. Before a meeting of G8 leaders in Konstantinovsky Palace Putin presented a bunch of flowers and a Palekh (Russian folk art — REGNUM) picture to Merkel on behalf of all the present.
