Russian presidential administration: G8 presidents had questions to each other concerning democracy
Informal discussion concerning development of democracy took place today at table, Russian presidential aide Sergey Prikhodko is quoted by a REGNUM correspondent as stating on July 17 at G8 briefing in Strelna (St. Petersburg). I was not present at the meeting, but Russia’s president shared his observations and, then, gave some evaluations. As far as I realize, the discussion concerned not only Russia. According to Mr. Prikhodko, the matter concerned development of democratic values for solution of global tasks.
As I know, Russia’s president made some evaluations at table and told about his possible steps, aimed at improvement of our country’s economy, in the framework of the Russian constitution, Mr.Prikhodko added. The president is satisfied with reaction of his colleagues. Additionally, G8 leaders had questions to each other.
As Sergey Prikhodko stressed, the conversation was important for Russia too because we need to understand prospects of some political processes, on which solutions in our country’s economic policy for example, development of the European Union’s constitution – depend.
