Russia will probably sent its peacekeepers to Lebanon
Vladimir Putin does not rule out that Russia would participate in a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon in case it is held there. As a REGNUM correspondent reports, the Russian leader made the statement today, on July 17, at a news conference on results of the G8 summit in St. Petersburg. According to Putin, G8 turned to the UN Security Council proposing to consider a possibility of sending peacekeepers to Lebanon. Russia does not refuse to participate in such operations, Vladimir Putin said. According to him, it is too early to speak about the strength of the corps to be sent to Lebanon before a decision is made by the Security Council.
