Expert: Political crisis in Ukraine will be joined by economic and foreign policy crises
Ukraine has been dragging out talks on gas and intends to delay them till winter, when gas supplies through Ukraine to Europe are stopped and an energy crisis starts there, Head of the Institute for Humanitarian and Political Studies Vyacheslav Igrunov has announced at a news conference in Moscow on July 17. Subject of the news conference is Break-up of the orange coalition: Ukraine’s new prospects, a REGNUM correspondent reports.
In this situation Ukraine hopes to exert pressure upon Russia and receive gas at a low price. The situation is aggravated by the fact that Turkmenistan raised gas prices. Thus, the political crisis in Ukraine will be joined by an economic and foreign policy one, Igrunov is quoted as saying.
