There will be no Putin-Saakashvili meeting
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Merab Antadze, who arrived in Moscow for preparing a meeting of the Georgian and Russian presidents, has announced on July 20 that there will be no such meeting. Antadze made the statement after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Andrey Denisov, lenta.ru reports.
As it was reported earlier, the initiative to have a meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in the framework of an unofficial summit of CIS leaders was presented by Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili. Last time the Russian and the Georgian presidents met before the G8 summit in St. Petersburg.
