Transdnestr: teenagers found to hand-grenades in Tiraspol
On August 16, two Tiraspol school-children found two RGD-5 hand grenades in city’s downtown in Svetlyi Brook near Pokrovskaya Church. As a REGNUM correspondent was informed at Transdnestr Interior Ministry press office, the school-children voluntarily handed over their finds, after they discovered them.
Investigation group immediately set off for the place, shown by the school-children. Policemen found and seized other four RGD-5 hand grenades and one fuse. According to Transdnestr policemen, Transdnestr residents have much different ammunition after 1992 hostilities. May be the found grenades have lied for many years, may be they were hidden by somebody. Nothing may be maintained unambiguously, the police stated, adding that all Transdnestr residents should be extremely watchful and address to police in any circumstances in the light of last two terrorist acts, which were committed during last five weeks in Transdnestr public conveyances.
It is worth reminding, at 01:55 p.m. on August 13, self-made blasting assembly, provided with regular ammunition, exploded in trolleybus near Prichernomorye trade center. 12 persons were injured; two passengers died. On July 6, 2006, share taxi exploded in Tiraspol. 7 persons died, dozens were injured.
