Estonian parliament failed to elect president
Today, on August 28, the Estonian parliament has failed to elect president at the first run-up of the presidential elections, a REGNUM correspondent is told at the parliamentary press office. 65 MPs voted for Vice Speaker of the parliament Ene Ergma, while 68 votes were needed. The rest MPs abstained from voting. The second and, probably, the third rounds of the presidential elections will be held tomorrow, on August 29.
