Ukrainian Supreme Rada deputy: Regions party plans to lift blockade of Transdnestr
Deputy of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, deputy chairman of committee on culture and spirituality Yuri Boldyrev held Sep 17 a press conference at Tiraspol International Press Center, REGNUM correspondent reports.
Boldyrev said, A rare consensus of citizens and power is present in Transdnestr. For example, Ukraine is split apart, and the position of residents of a besieged fortress is really surprising to us. I would like to note that the referendum outcomes that are expected today will surprise noone, and it is in vain that they in EU and Ukraine attempt to ignore it.
From the other hand, a process of reforming the state power is now under way in Ukraine, and we hope that attitude toward Transdnestr will soon change to the better. First of all, we are planning to lift the railway blockade of Transdnestr. This is our party position, this is our goal, and we are not going to give up our demands, the deputy said.
