Semneby: EU statement on South Ossetian referendum will not differ from its Transdnestr one
The EU statement on unrecognizing Transdnestr referendum outcomes will not differ very much from the statement to be made by the EU on the South Ossetian referendum; EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby stated during his visit to Tskhinvali on September 27. The EU has already made a statement on unrecognizing Transdnestr referendum; I believe, the EU will make statement in this case, which will not differ from Transdnestr one very much, the European diplomat stated.
As it is known; South Ossetian referendum will be conducted on November 12. The following question will be submitted to the referendum: Do you agree with Republic of South Ossetia’s preservation of its current status of independent state and its further recognition by international community? a REGNUM correspondent informs.
