Read it in Russian

Head of the Georgian foreign ministry Gela Bezhuashvili has returned to Tbilisi after interrupting his visit to Ukraine due to the sharp complication of the Georgian-Russian relations after the arrest of Russian army officers. “I interrupted my working visit to Ukraine, despite scheduled meetings with president and prime minister,” the minister said to journalists. “Preserving stability in Georgia is a priority now, so I decided to come back.”

According to REGNUM correspondent report, the minister informed that the Georgian foreign ministry continues consultations with different countries “so that the situation and the inadequate reaction that followed from Moscow was understood by the international community.” Bezhuashvili emphasized: “hysteria that everybody saw on the part of Russia does not become her as a nation who claims the status of regional and global leader.”
