Russian Embassy to Georgia: Georgian evidence insufficient
Moscow is not convinced by video materials that, according to the Georgian side, prove the espionage activity of the arrested in Georgia Russian army officers. The materials delivered by Georgia present no insufficient grounds to regard the four Russian officers as spies, Ambassador of Russia to Georgia Vyacheslav Kovalenko stated.
Describing the situation in Georgia, the ambassador accounted that the territories of the Russian military bases in Georgia are surrounded by Georgian troops, Ekho Moskvy radio reported.
