Murder of Anna Politkovskaya recorded by indoor observation cameras
Deputy editor-in-chief of the Novaya Gazeta daily Vitaly Yaroshevsky told REGNUM correspondent that Anna Politkovskaya was killed in an elevator of her house entrance. She went out shopping and then brought part of the shopping bags inside her apartment. On her way back, when she exited the elevator, a killer met her and shot by two shots in the chest and in the head. The weapon – a Makarov gun — was left on the scene. The law-enforcement agencies have a video recorded by cameras of indoor observation. A contract murder connected to the victim’s professional activity is considered as the main investigation version.
