Regions Party faction leader: Orange ministers will be dismissed tomorrow
The question of dismissal of four ministers delegated to the Cabinet of Ministers by Our Ukraine will be considered by the Supreme Rada on November 1. The statement was made on the sidelines of the Ukrainian parliament by Regions Party faction leader Raissa Bogatyryova on October 31. She noted that the ruling coalition will support the decision on dismissing the orange ministers, a REGNUM correspondent reports.
These ministers are not working, carry no responsibility, but continue to hold their posts. The coalition cannot allow the government being weakened, Bogatyryova said. She noted that Our Ukraine’s position will not influence on the fate of the ministers who represent the bloc. Our Ukraine is not ready today to formulate what it wants even ideologically, the MP commented on the position of her colleagues from the orange faction. Also today, Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Issues Yuri Pavlenko said that resignations of the ministers were approved by the parliamentary committee on state construction, regional policy and local governance. According to Pavlenko, he was ready to resign. I can change my decision only in case Our Ukraine faction makes such decision and parties members of Our Ukraine Bloc or a special decision by the president, the minister noted.
As REGNUM reported earlier, on October 4, Our Ukraine leader at the Supreme Rada Roman Bessmertny announced that the bloc ceased talks with the parliamentary majority on extending the ruling coalition, went to the opposition and recalled its ministers from the government. On October 19, Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Issues Yuri Pavlenko, Culture and Tourism Minister Igor Likhovyi, Healthcare Minister Yuri Polyachenko and Justice Minister Roman Zvarych registered their applications for resignation at the parliament.
