Moldavia starts preparing for conducting next NATO maneuvers in its territory
On November 1, conference on planning next NATO exercises scheduled for 2007 in Moldavian territory opened in Moldavian capital; a REGNUM correspondent was informed at the Moldavian defense ministry press office. As it is stressed in information, the conference’s attendees, which present ten NATO members states, as well as states, which cooperate with the Alliance in frames of individual programs, are going to discuss methods of cooperation’s training during rendering medical assistance to victims in conflict zone.
As REGNUM informed earlier, on October 19, Moldavian Parliament’s Speaker Marian Lupu stated during international seminar ‘Republic of Moldova and Euro-Atlantic structures: unification of efforts" that Republic of Moldova was going firmly to become constituent part of NATO space.
It is worth reminding; last scaled NATO maneuvers were conducted in Moldavia in September 2006.
